{ Kenner Road } Will Take You Down Memory Lane...

as will Dime Store Daze.

This weekend I have 2 uber cool and super vintage-y women to talk about.

Kenner Road:

Most of you are probably familiar with my dear friend Kerry Lynn. You may know her by "KL" - I call her "Ker", but, either way, she is who she is and so ROCKS. The girl has an eye for pulling together the most interesting and delicious mix of vintage goodies (papers, fabrics, ephemera, trims, bling...you name it) and create to die for projects. And, now she is going to share her talent for this with all of us!  What with her workshop classes continually selling out & the popularity of her limited edition kits at her Etsy shoppe (K8tyKat), the time has come for Ker to share her talent with the masses...enter Kenner Road.

Kenner Road is a subscription based kit club. Pre-Sale subscriptions for the first Kenner Road release went live yesterday, August 15th, and are already SOLD OUT! Ouch, that's not hot...that's on "Fi-Yah!" Fear not though my friends....if you missed out on the pre-sale you will still have the opportunity to snag the September release on September 15th...it'll cost you a few more clams to get your pretty little glittered and glued hands on it but it's worth it....one more reason to sign up for the subscription is that you can save about $5 per kit which means one more Starbucks for you!

Now, in addition to these vintage delights, Ker is also launching a line of digital goodies so if you are a digi-scrapper, a paper crafter/altered art/mixed media/scrapper looking to get into a little digi, or full on hybrid, now is your chance to do it in style!

Dime Store Daze:

Tomorrow, my other dear friend and local guru, Gigi Kennedy, and I will be taking a vintage jewelry class here at the Jersey shore with none other than the infamous & beloved Terri Ventura of Dime Store Daze. Looking forward to seeing Terri again, and, as if all that weren't enough, we will also be taking a beeswax class with Suze Weinberg!!  Can you believe it?!?! Neither of us can.....can't wait to get into a jam packed room with so many other creative and talented people and get schooled by all their knowledge and techniques!

Get 'Em While You Can.....

Yep, Kim is back in action....she has been on a bit of a blogging hiatus while tending to a wee bun in the oven.....so, if you are lucky, you'll be able to snag one of these uber-pretty "Delilah" aprons...isn't she just perfect for the Spring/Summer season....isn't this newest creation so *delilahghtful* (yeah, I know...it is true - I am a totally self-entertaining moron)...can ot get enough of that modern polka with the pink ribbon & bow...oh, and those fantastic gray leaves on that green.....love it!!!!  And, if you're feeling real creative and all seamstress-y you can always snag the Delilah apron kit and sew it yourself!

Remind me to tell you how my weekend was....it was interesting to say the least.  Have you ever been side-swiped? And while parked in a driveway in suburbia?????  I have. TWICE.

I'll be back with some shots from the Charlotte Lyons ornament class I took at Tinsel Trading this past Saturday. While there I bumped into Gigi who is every bit as loveable and cool in person as she is on the net.  :)  Oh, and Kim, you'll be so proud of all the sewing I did!  LOL  Only cheated with glue at the end to embellish before the class was over!

Oh, and, yesterday I mentioned some changes at Digital Artist Magazine...well, I wasn't sure if it was open for discussion & didn't want to blow any top secret stories...since then I have found it is open for me to blab!  I am so very super excited to tell you that Nancy Comelab is now the proud owner/editor of DAM....keep your eyes peeled for the December issue because it is going to be jam packed with loads of eye candy, articles and a smashing kit from the DAM artists just in time for the holidays!!!

Sometime this weekend the DAM site should be back up and functional...there have been a few snags during the process of changing servers.  ;)

We're Also Fools Like That....

OK, so today Kim and I realized we didn't get one photo of the two of us at SilverBella! WTH?!?!?! What kind of digital scrapbooker am I anyway?

What limited photos I do have will be posted tomorrow night...right now I am about to watch Ghost Hunters season 3 finale.

Oh, just one last thing! Have you all seen this:

My beloved and uber-talented friend, Kim, made this apron in my honor! It just rocks my socks off...the mix of patterns, colors & fabrics are to die for...trust me when I tell you that this thing is even cooler in person!!!!!! I would love to tell you to go run and buy one but they are SOLD OUT!!!!  These bad boys blew the doors off the boutique....just my style; fast, furious and anything but subtle....I wouldn't have it any other way!!!!

Tomorrow Kim and I will be at the glitziest shabby chic "infirmary" around: Silver Bella!

She with her glitter covered barf bag and, I, in my chintzed out, vintage velvet & lace trim, rhinestone encrusted coffin with just a dusting of glitter for some added sparkle as I approach near death....we will make quite the pair!  LOL   OK, it's quite an exaggeration, but we have both been wrestling mother nature recently and are both soooooooo looking to create, glitter and gab! All in all, with all we both have been dealing with it turns out it's good news for both of us, sort of!!!!!  :)

Shawny, we still have space for you should you grace us with your presence.....besides, we might need a nurse & heaven help poor Kim should I have a couple cocktails while on painkillers!  :D   Just kidding Kim!!!!

Valentine's Day...

Thank you to most special friend Kim, for the beautiful and delicious Valentine I received...a layout is forthcoming!  ;)

Here is my Valentine "card" for this year!  It pales in comparison to his Valentine for me but it's the thought that counts, right?  :D

But let me just mention that one of my all-time fave elements are from 2 brandie-new element packs by Jen Wilson and from her newest Daily Dose collection, Tulle Straights and Tulle Flowers....alright, truth be told, I am in love with the ENTIRE collection which has become a staple for my scrapping and we still have a half a month of releases left...too bad February only has 28 days, we are getting shorted 3 days to have 3 more Daily Dose items!  Waaaahhhhhh!   LOL 

Alrighty then, I am off, I need to dry my hair, stop at the coffee bar and get me a "Love Potion No. Jayne" before I step foot into the office!
