and Kenner Road goes live. Was just strolling the aisles of the "marketplace" and am drooling over the delicious vintage tidbits that will be available. Also, I know some of you were asking about the pre-sale kits that had sold out...the answer is "yes", if you missed out on the pre-sale you *will* be able to purchase those same kits/add-on kits...provided they don't sell out, AGAIN! :)
One last little sneak of a project:
And a sneak of a simple layout about my childhood memories....the theme may not be what any of you are probably expecting to see but, alas, it is the memory.
Don't you love that 70's gear and decor??? :D
Another sneaky peek of the goodness to be available at Kenner Road...but here's the really good part! The site will go live TOMORROW rather than Monday! Woo hoo!!!! The response has been so overwhelming that the site will be going live a day early!
Sandwiched into the sneak you get a glimpse of good things to come in your Kenner Road subscription kit...goodness like: Jenni Bowlin, Scenic Route, Sassafras Lass & some leftover lace I had laying around.
Amy put together this Flickr mosaic which was inspired by the kit and add-on kit at KR.

1. green ones are hard to find, 2. a little rust, 3. Red Yellow Flowers, 4. My new toy, 5. Yellow / Decay de Cai (II), 6. bingo numbers, 7. TV room, 8. Was his name, 9. Old Ledger
Dina was inspired to put together this mosaic:
1. Poppy Red China, 2. vintage trees, 3. General Ledger 1919, 4. Vintage German Transportation Ticket, 5. Roses and a green fence, 6. TtV, 7. Craftsmanship, 8. Vintage Beads, 9. Green Miniature Rose
Keep the memory lane stories/photos coming, they are all so interesting and inspiring! Such a great way to get to know people.
Just a little sneak peek of a project I made using the September '08 "Vintage Revival" Add-On project kit from soon to be unveiled Kenner Road.
In celebration of the Kenner Road grand opening on September 15th I'll be giving away this sweet Scenic Route designer collection kit. The "Laurel Kit" contains 15 double-sided papers, 3 single-sided kraft papers and 2 sticker packs.
It's a piece of cake to win. All you need to do to get in the running is to blog about the street you grew up on or blog post a photo of a vintage item in your home, a baby pic or family heirloom. Your post must say you "want to win a prize from Kenner Road". Be sure to link me up here in the comments section or e-mail me a link to your blog entry. There will be other giveaways today and throughout the weekend on the blogs of my Kenner Road teammates: Ker, Gigi, Ames, Dina.
Some of you may know that the pre-sale subscriptions for Kenner Road had sold out back in August but, come this Monday, you'll be able to get in on the action if you missed out on the pre-sale. Can't wait until Monday when we can all browse and buy vintage inspired scrapbook kits, ephmera & digital elements.
Here's to Celeste Smith for snagging the first Guest Designer spot at Kenner Road. For those of you that know Celeste she clearly needs no introduction....and for those of you that think you don't know her but read scrapping magazines, well, then you already are familiar with her and her killer work. Celeste is a scrapping powerhouse who can blast out the layouts like nobody's business! Creative, quick, and funny as can be...I just love this girl!
Just a few sneaks of Celeste's Kenner Road projects for September:
as will Dime Store Daze.
This weekend I have 2 uber cool and super vintage-y women to talk about.
Kenner Road:
Most of you are probably familiar with my dear friend Kerry Lynn. You may know her by "KL" - I call her "Ker", but, either way, she is who she is and so ROCKS. The girl has an eye for pulling together the most interesting and delicious mix of vintage goodies (papers, fabrics, ephemera, trims, bling...you name it) and create to die for projects. And, now she is going to share her talent for this with all of us! What with her workshop classes continually selling out & the popularity of her limited edition kits at her Etsy shoppe (K8tyKat), the time has come for Ker to share her talent with the masses...enter Kenner Road.
Kenner Road is a subscription based kit club. Pre-Sale subscriptions for the first Kenner Road release went live yesterday, August 15th, and are already SOLD OUT! Ouch, that's not hot...that's on "Fi-Yah!" Fear not though my friends....if you missed out on the pre-sale you will still have the opportunity to snag the September release on September 15th...it'll cost you a few more clams to get your pretty little glittered and glued hands on it but it's worth it....one more reason to sign up for the subscription is that you can save about $5 per kit which means one more Starbucks for you!
Now, in addition to these vintage delights, Ker is also launching a line of digital goodies so if you are a digi-scrapper, a paper crafter/altered art/mixed media/scrapper looking to get into a little digi, or full on hybrid, now is your chance to do it in style!
Keep checking back for the Kenner Road site launch as well as the availability of new subscriptions and the rest of the project kits & goodies that will be waiting to land in your mailbox!
Be sure to look for Kenner Road layouts in the September issue of Digital Artist Magazine!
Dime Store Daze:
Tomorrow, my other dear friend and local guru, Gigi Kennedy, and I will be taking a vintage jewelry class here at the Jersey shore with none other than the infamous & beloved Terri Ventura of Dime Store Daze. Looking forward to seeing Terri again, and, as if all that weren't enough, we will also be taking a beeswax class with Suze Weinberg!! Can you believe it?!?! Neither of us can.....can't wait to get into a jam packed room with so many other creative and talented people and get schooled by all their knowledge and techniques!
Sneak Peeks of tomorrow's workshop kits:
Some of Terri's work from a recent swap:
Could you imagine getting any one of these charms in a swap...I would pass out from the beauty & excitement as I walk from the mailbox! :D
Here's Terri doing her thing at Tinsel Trading in NYC:
You can find out more about Terri in the September issue of Digital Artist Magazine as well as see a couple of layouts inspired by her work!

my desktop and came across these. Not sure if I posted them here before & too lazy to go take a look see. :D
As seen in Digital Artist Magazine - April 2008 issue:
Page theme was "creative use of flowers"...hopefully I captured the creative use.
Real Paper:
A non-digi mini of Lia......the colors are a bit blown out from all the sunlight but, you get the idea.
Still have loads of photos from CHA to sort through, need to finish painting my room so I can move my stuff into it, finish up a few layouts & other projects in the pipeline and then perhaps I'll be all caught up.
Looks like after the crazy weather we had yesterday the sun is finally peeking thru the clouds...maybe I will get a few minutes at the beach after all...if so, all the other stuff on my to do list will have to wait a bit longer as I have a new love of the great outdoors and don't want to miss one moment more than I need to being outside enjoying Mother Earth!
Digital Artist Magazine is doing a really quick and easy survey.....it will take you less than 2 minutes to complete and you could win 1 of 5 really cool prizes just for taking a moment to answer a few questions.
Check it out by clicking the image below...
